The Yankee Institute offers year-round internship opportunities to students and recent graduates interested in learning more about public policy and free markets.
Interns typically volunteer between 15 and 40 hours a week. Interns are unpaid, but reimbursement is available for some related expenses.
The program provides an opportunity to gain skills including research, writing and professionalism. Opportunities are also available for students interested in journalism and investigative reporting.
Each week readings are assigned and discussed one day over lunch. Past assignments have included The Connecticut Constitution, F.A. Hayek’s Nobel acceptance speech The Pretense of Knowledge and selections from Henry Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson.
Alumni of the program have gone on to work for other think tanks, on Capitol Hill and in the private sector.
To apply, please send a resume and three writing samples to Zachary Janowski, firstname.lastname@example.org.
